The year 2014 promises tobe a big year for Ellie and Louise Macnamara, AKA Heathers. Havingfinished their second album, KINGDOM, with producer Max Dingel (known forproducing the #1 UK album from White Lies), Heathers are poised to bring theirunique sound Stateside.



The first single from the new KINGDOM album –titled ‘Forget Me Knots’ – was released last October 2013, and debuted at #14on the iTunes US Alternative Song Chart. Heathers have been touring heavily inIreland and the European mainland, and have now sold over 15,000 copies ofKINGDOM in those parts.



On April 8th, after a world wind week ofsome recent incredible performances at SXSW, Heathers prepares for the USrelease of KINGDOM, on Aunthill/Big3 Records.



Their debut album, HERE NOT THERE, garneredwidespread acclaim internationally amongst both fans and media alike for itsunique melodic hooks and extraordinary vocals.



The siblings' penchant for sharpmelodies, tight, constant harmonizing, and punk-infused delivery caught the earof D.I.Y. record label Plan-It-X Records, resulting in the release of their debutalbum, HERE NOT THERE, followed by an American tour with like-minded punk-folkband Ghost Mice.



That album achieved Gold sales status in Irelandand received a further boost when they had the lead single ‘Remember When’ usedon a major Discover Ireland TV and Radio ad campaign. The track in question wasdubbed the “soundtrack to the Irish summer”.



The success of that debut album resulted in twosummer length tours in the USA, which developed into further invites to performat the CMJ Festival in New York, Canadian Music Week in Toronto, as well asEuropean festivals such as Eurosonic, The Great Escape, Camden Crawl, Oxygenand Belsonic. Most recently they played as part of HMV UK’s Next Big Thing, andperformed two brilliantly received shows at Camden Crawl Festival in additionto a sell-out headline show at London’s Barfly last May.



Released last year inIreland, their sophomore album, KINGDOM, was nominated for the 2013 MeteorChoice Music Prize album of the year, whilst their single, “Forget Me Knots,”has been nominated in the Irish Song of the Year category.



Heathers have also signed aworld wide publishing deal with Universal Music Publishing out of London.



The set up for KINGDOMoverseas has set the tone for an auspicious launch in the US release on April 8th.Get ready for Heathers!
