Ghost Stories is Ron Lewis, a multi-instrumentalist from Seattle, WA, who in addition to his day job as a cheese monger in a local gourmet shop has been in a number of bands.
Before joining the Fruit Bats as drummer in 2006, Lewis had played guitar on the second album by Portland folk-rockers the Joggers, With a Cape and a Cane, and he also supported Colin Meloy of the Decemberists on his solo tours. As Ghost Stories, Lewis writes all of the songs, which sound heavily inspired by latter-day XTC, Michael Penn, and other fans of late-era Beatles, and plays nearly all the instruments. Ghost Stories' debut album, Quixoticism, was released by Sonic Boom Records in early 2007. ~ Stewart Mason
