As a singer-songwriter, producer and professionally trained dancer, Gavin Turek certainly knows how to get down.
She has collaborated with some of the most electric names in music, from her features on some of TOKiMONSTA’'s biggest hits ("Little Pleasures," "Darkest (Dim)," "Clean Slate" and "Foolish") to an entire mixtape with Com Truise (Com Truise vs. Gavin (Re)mixtape).

The LA-based artist is at it again, with "Suffah," the first single from her upcoming EP,The Break-Up Tape. The official version features M.I.A.-cohort Rye Rye and is a prime example of the high-energy break-up songs that comprise the EP. The project is a force to be reckoned with, and a great setup for Gavin Turek's still-untitled debut album, which is readying to drop in the beginning of 2014.

Gavin likes to compare her shows to "Robyn meets Santigold beaming with Tina Turner's energy" and she might actually be selling herself short. Her live performances aren't to be missed. A lover of indie rock and disco, Gavin cites James Murphy and Giorgio Moroder as some of her biggest influences. While working on her debut album, Gavin continues to collaborate with producer/artists on the forefront of electronic music, including Paper Diamond (Paragon EP), Tropics (Home and Consonance EP), Gigamesh and Gold Room, lending her unique voice and intimate lyrics to their projects.
