The career of French singer Frédéric Lerner (born in Paris on December 21, 1972) was a bit of a departure from his business studies.
Released in 2001, his first album was a hit, and hit singles (such as "Cybélia") as well as touring helped promote the full-length, but the momentum was not enough to make his follow-up album a hit in 2004. A duet with Swedish singer Indra also failed to chart, and it seemed that Lerner's career had hit an impasse. Fortunately, the leadoff single from his 2007 album, Ça Passe ou Ça Casse, was a hit, and the album was propelled into the Top 30 in his home country. ~ Chris True
