The Fenians blend traditional Celtic folk songs and contemporary numbers, some of which are bandmembers' compositions.
In addition to its Celtic roots, the band draws on the traditions of jazz, rock, and bluegrass, among other genres. The quintet is composed of Terry Casey on mandolin and lead vocals, Rob Williams on guitar and vocals, Brendan Harkins on bass and vocals, Chris Pierce on drums and vocals, and Tardu Yegin on flute, saxophone, and whistles.

The group's releases include the live Band of Rogues, a 1999 release that was recorded at its sold-out Galaxy Concert Theater performance, and Have Fun or Get Out!. That same year, the Guinness Wall of Fame inducted the quintet. The Fenians have appeared as headliners at a number of prestigious venues and festivals, among them the Dublin Irish Festival, Galway's The Quays, Hollywood's House of Blues, Boston's Stonehill Irish Festival, and the Chicago Irish Fest. They released Every Day's a Hooley in 2004. ~ Linda Seida
