The band's debut album, 'Letting Go' (produced by David Kahne and mixed by Andy Wallace), featured their first hit single "Get Away".
It received significant radio airplay, while the song "Headstrong" was featured in the motion picture Queen of the Damned. After months of touring with Kid Rock, Sevendust, Filter and Stone Temple Pilots, "Get Away" peaked at No. 4 on the radio charts and stayed in the Top 100 for over 60 weeks.

The band's second album, 'Two' (produced by Johnny K and mixed by Rich Costey), was released in 2004. It included the breakthrough hit "Wait" which peaked at #9 on the radio charts and was featured on the Madden NFL 2005 video game soundtrack and the MX vs. ATV Unleashed video game soundtrack.

In early 2007, Earshot signed with Indegoot/Fontana/Universal Recordings, and began working on their 3rd release entitled 'The Silver Lining' (produced by Brian Garcia, co-produced by Wil Martin and mixed by Mike Watt). Tracks on the album included “MisSunderstood,” and “Closer”

Currently frontman Wil Martin is involved in his acoustic music side project called 'The Wil Martin Project'. On Facebook in late 2012 Martin stated: "Earshot will always be near and dear to me. I have no plans for it to go away anytime soon. But things were starting to feel forced and flat out uninspiring to me. And what I concluded from it, was that it was time for me to take a break and step away."
