Dungeonesse were formed by the Art Department's Jon Ehrens and Wye Oak's Jenn Wasner to celebrate their mutual love for modern R&B and pop music.
Sending tracks back and forth via email when Wye Oak were touring the country, they put together a sound that captured the essence of their love, with Ehrens' production giving Wasner's strong vocals plenty of chance to shine. They signed to Secretly Canadian Records and released a 12" single in late 2012, "Drive You Crazy," before dropping their self-titled debut for the label in the spring of 2013. ~ Tim Sendra
