By mixing upbeat, filtered disco with attempted soulful trance, Tommaso de Donatis and Orhan Terzi's DJ Quicksilver project was one of Germany's most popular semi-underground crowd-pleasers.
With releases for Avex Trax, Positiva, Telstar, Edel, Alphabet City, and Sub Terranean, and deriving their name from a crowd-calculating gauge of quicksilver used at an early DJ competition, the duo was best-known for the Vengaboys-like success of 1999's "Bellissima," the Shaggy-sampled "Boombastic" single, remix work for Ian Van Dahl and Faithless, and a simplified reading of the Verve's "Bittersweet Symphony." ~ Dean Carlson
