Based in Toronto, disco-oriented Crack of Dawn formed in the mid-'70s and signed with Columbia; "It's Alright I Can't Move No Mountains" and "Keep the Faith" were Canadian hits in 1976 and a self-titled album was also released.
The band was comprised of Trevor Daley (trombone), Dwight Gabriel (trumpet), Carl Harvey (guitar), Rupert Harvey (rhythm guitar), Alvin Jones (saxophone, flute), Glen Rickets (vocals), Jacek Sobotta (keyboards), Carl Otway (drums), and Andre King (bass). ~ John Bush
