An award-winning Polish hard rock/post-grunge unit from the city of Łódź, Coma formed in 1998 around the talents of Marcin Kobza, Rafał Matuszak, Piotr Rogucki, Tomasz Stasiak, and Dominik Witczak.
Drawing inspiration from bands like Pearl Jam, Led Zeppelin, and fellow countrymen Illusion, the band inked a deal with BMG/Poland in 2003 and released its debut album, Pierwsze Wyjście z Mroku, the following year. Sophomore outing Zaprzepaszczone Siły Wielkiej Armii Swiętych Znaków, which went gold, saw release in 2006, and in 2008 the band issued the critically acclaimed double album Hipertrofia. Excess, Coma's first English-language album, arrived in 2010, followed by their platinum-selling eponymous fifth studio long-player in 2011. Don't Set Your Dogs on Me, the band's second album in English, dropped in 2013. ~ James Christopher Monger
