Originally dubbed the Downriver Soul Project, the trio formed circa 1966 in the suburban Flat Rock area, its members all still in high school; a cover band noted primarily for its convincing renditions of current British Invasion and R&B hits, Clockwork Orange released no known material during a brief career which ended around 1968, although demo tapes are rumored to exist. An interesting footnote to the Detroit rock history of the era, Florek later went on to become a noted television character actor, with recurring roles on series including L.A.
