After relocating from their native Connecticut, Haller and Duran began producing music together as a duo under the name Cheerleader, posting their mixes to SoundCloud. After earning some early accolades from NME and MTV based on their early demos, they expanded the band to a five-piece, enlisting bassist Paul Impellizeri, keyboardist Josh Pannepacker, and drummer Carl Bahner. In 2013, they signed with California-based indie Bright Antenna Records to release their debut EP, On Your Side. Their first full-length, The Sunshine of Your Youth, followed in the spring of 2015. ~ Timothy Monger
