Fenay Cruz's son Charlie was born in Puerto Rico and raised in the U.S. At a young age, while living in New Jersey, Charlie Cruz was strongly influenced by salsa.
Soon the enthusiastic teenager started participating as a vocalist in his father's band. Back in Puerto Rico, Charlie Cruz joined Domingo Quiñones' collective act in 1996. After taking singing lessons, the artist debuted with Imagínate, an album produced by Sergio George. The following records, Magia de Amor and Presentimiento, consolidated his career. Named one of the Puerto Rico's best salsa performers, Charlie Cruz released Asi Soy in the year 2000. ~ Drago Bonacich
