Latin rock band from Argentina Callejeros started playing covers of Credence Clearwater Revival and the Rolling Stones under the name of Rio Verde, changing its name in January 1997.
The band self-produced their first album in October 1998. They soon became an opening act for Ratones Paranoicos and Viejas Locas, performing along with la Renga and Divididos in 2000. That same year, Callejeros recorded Adelantos. ~ Drago Bonacich
