An award-winning songwriter, conductor, producer, and composer of an impressive array of film, television, and video game scores, California native Brian Tyler attended UCLA and Harvard before embarking on a successful career in music.
A self-taught musician who is proficient on myriad instruments including drums, piano, guitar, bass, cello, percussion, synthesizer, charango, and bouzouki, Tyler began scoring films shortly after graduation from Harvard. His early scores for films like Bartender and Six String Samurai helped him land his first big break with the 2001 Bill Paxton-directed thriller Frailty. Since then he has become one of the most in-demand film composers in the business, racking up accolades for his work on movies like The Hunted, Constantine, Rambo, Fast & Furious, Iron Man 3, Now You See Me, Thor: The Dark World, Avengers: Age of Ultron, and Truth. He has also provided music for popular video games such as Need for Speed: The Run, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, as well as for television programs like Transformers: Prime, Terra Nova, and Sleepy Hollow. In 2014, Tyler co-wrote and produced the hit song "Shell Shocked" with Wiz Kalifah, Kill the Noise, Ty Dolla $ign, Juicy J, and Moxie, which he released under the pseudonym Madsonik. ~ James Christopher Monger
