Shoegaze experimentalists Brace/Choir formed in Berlin in 2006.
The band, composed of Christoph Adrian, Alex Samuels, Max Gassmann, and Dave Youssef, found the four vocalist/multi-instrumentalists switching instruments and taking turns singing with each different song. Their slow-burning output channeled Krautrock legends like Faust, shoegaze staples of the '80s and '90s, and the lingering space rock of the early Kranky Records roster. A self-titled, self-released EP surfaced in 2010, followed by the more fully realized album Turning on Your Double in 2014. ~ Fred Thomas
