The musically inclined pair met as teenagers while they were both making their rounds in the local music scene. The two eventually left Europe for Boston where they furthered their studies at Berklee College of Music. Dold and Martin then joined forces and Aurah was created. Along with three original full-length albums, Aurah composed the original film score for “Loving Annabelle” and “Sunset Junction,” as well as tracks included in films and TV shows such as “Little Miss Sunshine,” “Sex and the City” and “Blood Diamond,” among others. Dold and Martin’s production skills and artful arrangements give Aurah a signature sound. Interwoven between the fusion of Dold’s ambient, textural guitar stylings and Martin’s haunting vocals is the echo of ancient cultures; influences of world music mixed with modern electronica. Anchored at the core of Aurah’s music is an underlying beat; a recurring mantra that encourages listeners to glide into a tranquil, hypnotic zone.
