Calling out such stylistic influences as '70s power pop, country, and folk-rock, Scottish band the Attic Lights formed in Glasgow in the early 2000s.
The group took its name (as well as the title of its debut EP, 2005's The Attic Lights) from a dark attic that housed the band's early rehearsals, and Shiver the Trees marked the musicians' second EP release in 2006. A full-length debut album, Friday Night Lights, arrived in 2008 through the band's new home, Island Records. In 2013, Attic Lights returned with their sophomore album, Super De Luxe. ~ Matt Collar
