Is a new track on the way?

Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg and The Game met up in the studio as they paid tribute to Nipsey Hussle, leading to speculation that a new track could be on the way.

The meeting was revealed on Instagram by The Game on Sunday evening, a week after Nipsey was gunned down outside his clothing store in Los Angeles.

Footage posted online shows the three listening to a new track from The Game’s upcoming album ‘Born To Rap’ – although the presence of what sounds likes Nipsey’s vocals seemingly suggests that he’ll make a posthumous guest spot on the record.

It’s also heightened speculation that the trio could be working on a track together too.

This comes after Nipsey Hussle’s family confirmed that the late rapper will be honoured with a memorial service at Los Angeles’ Staples Centre. Details of the service were confirmed on Nipsey’s Instagram page, alongside an angelic photo that shows him donning angel wings while wearing a white suit.

Last weekend, Kanye West paid tribute to Nipsey by playing a speech by the late rapper at his latest Sunday Service performance. It came after the likes of Rihanna, Beyonce and Kendrick Lamar all hailed Nipsey’s talent in the wake of his death. Drake also paid tribute on the first night of his London residency, urging Nipsey to “rest easy”.

It transpired last week that Crips, Bloods, and other gangs in LA have gathered for a “unity meeting” in the wake of his death.

A suspect has also been charged in connection with the rapper’s killing. Eric Holder, 29, was charged with one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder. He has pled not guilty and has been placed in custody on a $5 million (£3.8 million) bail.
