The pair covered The Beatles and Foo Fighters at the city's Pike Place

Dave Grohl and Brandi Carlile went busking together in Seattle yesterday (April 20).

The pair performed for the public at Pike Place Market following Carlile sharing their plans to go out and play with her Instagram followers that morning.

According to those who were there, the performance lasted for between 15 and 20 minutes and saw Grohl and Carlile joined by Carlile’s bandmates Phil and Time Hanseroff. During the short set, they aired covers of The Beatles’ ‘Let It Be’ and Foo Fighters’ ‘Times Like These’.

The set was live streamed on Carlile’s Facebook page, but only the performances of the aforementioned tracks are available to watch since the event ended. You can watch them both below now.

The performance followed Carlile sharing a photo of Grohl on her Instagram on Friday night (April 19), with the caption: “I love it when Dave Grohl comes over for dinner and ATVs. You sir are welcome to live with me…please.”

In January, the two musicians both performed separately at a tribute concert held in memory of Chris Cornell at Los Angeles’ The Forum.

Meanwhile, Nirvana’s former manager recently revealed that Kurt Cobain was well aware of Grohl’s vocal talents, suggesting there may have been a “touch of envy” between the two bandmates.

Danny Goldberg told The Washington Post: “Kurt just said to me, ‘I don’t think you realize how good a singer Dave is, but I hear him singing harmonies every night.’ It was like he was really doing it so I would know this because there was this very fraternal side of him and a sweet side of him, but also it had a touch of envy in it. I mean he was competitive.”
