The title of the nu metal band's 'Three Dollar Bill, Y'all' album appears to be the motivation behind the pricing strategy

Limp Bizkit will play a special show in LA this week which promises to reunite the band’s “original line-up” – with tickets for the gig costing just $3 (£2.28).

The show will take place at the Troubadour in west Hollywood tomorrow (March 5), and, unsurprisingly, all of the tickets have already been snapped up.

Announcing the show late last week, Limp Bizkit appeared to reference the title of their July 1997 debut ‘Three Dollar Bill, Y’all’ when sharing details of the event with fans.

While unconfirmed, it’s expected that the “original line-up” promised will comprise of Fred Durst (vocals), Wes Borland (guitar), Sam Rivers (bass), DJ Lethal (turntables) and John Otto (drums). It’s also not yet been clarified whether Limp Bizkit will be performing the entirety of ‘Three Dollar Bill, Y’all’, or just select cuts from the record.

Back in December, Borland shared clips of the current Limp Bizkit recording new material in the studio. It’s believed that the band is working on the follow-up to 2011’s ‘Gold Cobra’.

In October, Bring Me The Horizon’s Oli Sykes revealed that he and his bandmate Jordan Fish had originally written their single ‘Wonderful Life’ for Limp Bizkit.

“Last year, me and Jordan went and worked with Fred Durst on a Limp Bizkit album,” Sykes told BBC Radio One. “It just didn’t work out, to be honest. He just didn’t show up most of the time. Lovely guy, but I don’t think he was ready to make an album.”
