Here's Karen O...

Yeah Yeah Yeahs frontwoman Karen O has shared ‘Anti-Lullaby’, a new solo offering from the soundtrack of the forthcoming Hanna.

The new track is one of Karen O’s most stripped-back offerings to date and sees her delivering an appropriately haunting lullaby.

Do not sleep/ She waits for you to sleep,” O gently sings on the new offering. “My breath, you breathe/ It will carry you.”

It’s also a reflection of the show’s plot – which follows the story of a young girl who is relentlessly pursued by the CIA after her ex-operative father teaches her to become a ruthless assassin.

The show is a small screen adaptation of the 2011 film of the same name – starring Saiorse Ronan in the lead role.

Meanwhile, Karen revealed last year that Yeah Yeah Yeahs are looking forward to recording new music, although they’re awaiting for that all important creative strike to arrive.

“A lot has changed in my life in the last 5 years and I’m just kinda waiting for the inspiration to hit me – and then we’ll go,” O told Apple Beats 1.

“I just feel like I’ve never really ‘pushed it’, just kinda waited for it to really feel like this overwhelming…”
