RIP.
Avicii has been laid to rest in a private funeral in Sweden.
The DJ, who took his own life in April, was remembered by friends and family during the service, which was held in his native Stockholm.
Close friend Jesse Waits posted a picture of the order of service programme on Instagram.
It featured the words ‘Tim Bergling 1989-2018’ and was covered in musical notes.
The DJ’s body was initially found in Oman, before his family later confirmed his tragic passing.
” There have been many inquiries regarding the funeral arrangements for Tim Bergling, known by music fans as Avicii. The Bergling family has now confirmed that the funeral will be private, in the presence of the people who were closest to Tim”, a family spokesperson later confirmed.
In the wake of Avicii’s death, a long list of the star’s most frequent collaborators have paid tribute to his talents.
Last month, Rita Ora paid a touching tribute onstage at BBC Radio 1’s Biggest Weekend.
The singer took to the stage in Swansea as the words ‘Avicii 1989 – 2018’ appeared behind her, before launching into ‘Lonely Together’, the pair’s 2017 single.
“Thank you,” Ora said to the audience as the track came to a close. “Thank you for singing that with me.
“It’s always hard for me to sing that, so thank you so much for singing along.”
Halsey and The Chainsmokers were also among the main acts paying tribute at last month’s Billboard awards.
