The collection is for "all ages and genders"

Miley Cyrus has collaborated with Converse for a new range of shoes, clothes and accessories.

The Converse x Miley range is available from today (May 2) and has been described as “a mix-and-match collection for Miley fans of all ages and genders, shapes, sizes, and unique styles… All designed for embracing your individuality – with glitter”.

“No age, no gender, no sex — I wanted everyone to feel included,” Miley says. “Converse has no boundaries. It’s outspoken. I’ve always identified with Converse because the brand appeals to and represents so many different cultures and walks of life. And they’re accessible.”

“I definitely had my fans in mind and in my heart when I was creating,” the star adds. “I put what they love about me and what I love about them into the design.”

You can see some of the collection in the Instagram post below and at the Converse website.

Earlier this week, Cyrus retracted an apology she issued in 2008 for a series of near-nude photographs shot for Vanity Fair.

The 2008 photo featured Cyrus wrapped in a satin sheet, with her back exposed. In her initial apology, Cyrus spoke of her belief that the photo looked like she “had a big blanket on”.

“I’M NOT SORRY. FUCK YOU”, Cyrus recently wrote on Twitter alongside a photo of her apology on the front page of the New York Post.
