Is Dennis making a comeback?

Good news for fans of It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, it seems that Dennis Reynolds is making his return to the beloved sitcom after his fate was left uncertain in Season 12.

As the season drew to a close, Dennis shocked both viewers and the other regulars of Paddy’s Pub by announcing that he’d be leaving the gang in order to spend more time with the child that he never realized he had fathered.

But after months of speculation about the future of everyone’s favorite TV psychopath, it seems that Glenn Howerton is definitely returning to portray Dennis once more.

In a new interview with The Wrap, ‘Sweet Dee’ actress Kaitlin Olson confirmed that Dennis’ return is definitely in the works.

“I do know that Glenn Howerton is coming back for some episodes”, she said.

“I don’t know the specifics, but I do know how he’s being introduced back in and it’s absolutely hilarious”.

Despite speculation that his busy schedule on new show A.P Bio could prevent a return, Howerton also admitted he was still hoping for a return.

“We’re currently discussing what we want to do next season [of It’s Always Sunny], but we haven’t started the writers’ room yet”, he admitted in January.

“So I haven’t left It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. The conversation really should be about what’s going to happen with Dennis, not what’s going to happen with me, and that’s something we don’t have an answer to yet.”
