She also covers 'What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve'

Azealia Banks has dropped a festive new EP titled ‘Icy Colors Change’ which features a cover of ‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas’.

The EP also features her version of the Frank Loesser track ‘What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve’ as well as original song ‘Icy Colors Change’. She released a demo of the title track just after Christmas last year.

The EP follows the release of ‘Anna Wintour’ in April and ‘Treasure Island’ in July. You can listen to ‘Icy Colors Change’ below.

Last month, the ‘212’ rapper announced two intimate UK shows for January 2019. The return to the UK comes after Banks announced earlier this year that she was delaying the release of ‘Fantasea II: The Second Wave’, her anticipated second album.

“Album is cancelled. I need some time to relax and bounce on dick. I’ll release new music when I feel like it…”
she wrote in an Instagram post.

Instead, the rapper has made headlines this year after her bizarre friendship with tech tycoon Elon Musk came to light over the summer. In August, Banks claimed that she had waited at Elon Musk’s home while she awaited the opportunity to record with Grimes, his girlfriend. The polarising tycoon later denied knowing her.

Last month, Banks blasted Iggy Azalea for promoting a detox ‘diet’ tea on Twitter, writing “Awww, iggy is Broke”.

Banks posted a screenshot of Iggy’s tweet to her Instagram Story. The text over the image reads: “Awww, iggy is Broke, I remember when I had to do flat tummy tea ads for a little weave money. Those were rough times. And she had the nerve to make fun of my soap. Yikes.”

“Never hating on a girl’s hustle,” Banks continued. “but I predict she will be moving back in with her parents in Australia soon.”
