A rap pioneer got to hang with Shemar Moore.

MC Lyte, the first solo female rapper to release a full album in the ’80s, is guest-starring on S.W.A.T. and EW has obtained the exclusive first look.

In the episode, titled “K-Town,” MC Lyte plays DEA Special Agent Katrina “K.C.” Walsh, who’s working on a task force aimed at unmasking the secret leader of a Koreatown fentanyl drug smuggling ring. She’s also an old friend of Sgt. Hondo Harrelson (Moore), who appears in the photo with Patrick St. Esprit (Robert Hicks).

Peter Facinelli also reprises his role as Michael Plank, the Police Commission President, in the episode that’s set to air Thursday, Jan. 18 at 10 p.m. ET on CBS.

After recording several albums, Lyte moved on to acting by appearing in such shows as In Living Color, New York Undercover, Queen of the South, and The District.
