This is pretty impressive...

An avid fan of The Simpsons has transformed one of the show’s most iconic scenes into an arcade game, and we want to play it immediately.

The ‘Steamed Hams’ scene features in the 1996 episode ’22 Short Films About Springfield’, and sees Principal Skinner inviting Superintendent Chalmers to lunch before things turn increasingly awry.

Now, Simpsons superfan ArtFon1987 has rendered the scene into a pretty convincing imagining of what it would look like if it was to appear in the Simpsons arcade game that was released in 1991.

Although it isn’t playable, the graphic take is still impressive – and features every detail of the scene as Skinner desperately attempts to feed cheeseburgers to his superior.

It’s received a whole load of deserved praise – and quite a few suggestions as to how the story arc of the game could eventually pan out too.

“Love this but would have loved it even more if Skinner’s health bar kept decreasing every panel his story got more preposterous”, one user wrote on Twitter.

Earlier this month, the ‘Steamed Hams’ writer also shared the entire original draft of the scene.

Bill Oakley, who wrote the scene, posted the original draft on Twitter and revealed how the line ‘unforgettable luncheon‘ almost ended up on the cutting room floor.
