Spain's Mad Cool Festival announces new acts

 

Jack White, Wolf Alice and The Big Moon have been confirmed for this year’s Mad Cool Festival.

Spain’s Mad Cool Festival will be held at the new venue of Valdebebas in IFEMA in Madrid from July 12-14.

The festival has already announced that the likes of Kasabian, Queens Of The Stone Age, Tame Impala, Nine Inch Nails, Franz Ferdinand, Justice, Alice In Chains, Massive Attack, MGMT, Pearl Jam, Snow Patrol will perform over the course of the festival. 

Now, White has been announced as one of the 2018 headliners, with The Big Moon, Wolf Alice, Young Fathers, Eels, Odesza, Kevin Morby, Daniel Avery, and Leon Bridges also among those newly confirmed.

It had previously been speculated that Arctic Monkeys could be set to play Mad Cool this summer. 

Last night (January 17) saw The Big Moon play a launch show at London’s Omeara venue for the VO5 NME Awards 2018. The awards ceremony takes place at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on February 14.

Liam Gallagher will be presented with this year’s Godlike Genius award at the VO5 NME Awards 2018. Responding to the news, Liam has said: “I wanna thank the NME for their Godlike Genius award. It’s about fucking time as far as I’m concerned”.
