The political single is the band's first new material in four years.

Depeche Mode are back in full form. The legendary English electronic group return with "Where's the Revolution," a poignant, politically charged call-to-arms.

"You've been kept down," sings Dave Gahan in a foreboding tone. "You've been pushed 'round. You've been lied to. You've been fed truths."

Over driving synths, the band then asks in the chorus: "Where's the revolution?"

The timely new single is the first off Depeche Mode's new record Spirit out on March 17.

"I wouldn't call this a political album, because I don't listen to music in a political way. But it's definitely about humanity, and our place in that," says Gahan to Rolling Stone.

"If we want things to change, a revolution, we need to talk about it and about caring about what goes on in the world. It doesn't seem the way things are in London. We seem to be going in another direction, and I think Martin [Gore] felt like he needed to express that."
