Take in the Nashville-based singer-songwriter's delicate orchestral pop cut.

Overcoming incredible darkness lies at the heart of C. Shirock’s "Haunted," a gorgeous new acoustic take of his song. Yearning vocals and piano swells color the track, which was originally released as part of his 2016 EP called 11. "[This version] focuses on the lyrics and the aching in the voice, without the distractions of other production elements," says Shirock about song. We’re excited to premiere the acoustic version of "Haunted" exclusively on Myspace today ahead of its February 17 release.

"'Haunted' is a song that deals with loss — whether it's the end of a relationship, a loved one passing on, or a friendship that comes to end...every person and relationship are unique. My girlfriend talked to me about how every relationship brings about an entirely new universe completely undiscovered outside of those two people meeting. What a beautiful idea," says Shirock to Myspace.

"This song also deals with the incredible strength of the human heart and spirit. The destruction and pain that can come with endings and change is told through the intense musical break in this song, and yet the heart still finds healing in time, and somehow has a never ending capacity for new space- and in pain and loss, we carve out room for deeper connections and relationships, and truer love of ourselves and others."
