The two acts have become close friends, with Aoki remixing the veteran pop-punk band’s track ‘Bored To Death’ back in August 2016. The original song was taken from blink’s seventh studio album ‘California’

Aoki celebrated his 40th birthday earlier this week by throwing a party at investor and philanthropist Ron Burkle’s Beverly Hills mansion.

During the party, blink members Mark Hoppus, Travis Barker and Matt Skiba performed a stripped-down version of the band’s 1999 hit ‘What’s My Age Again?’ in honour of Aoki – with Hoppus changing the lyric “Nobody likes you when you’re 23″ with “Nobody likes you when you’re 40, Steve”.

Earlier this month, Aoki linked up with Celine Dion for an unusual version of the latter’s hit ‘My Heart Will Go On’.

The DJ and the Canadian singer were appearing at a benefit show for Omnia Nightclub’s Las Vegas Victims Fund when they performed the EDM-tinged collaboration, which Aoki has been dropping during his sets for a number of years.

The performance marked the first time that Dion actually provided the live vocals for the remix.
