A Katy Perry fan has filmed the moment they were hit with an inflatable eyeball that the singer had kicked into the crowd.
As the singer performed ‘Roar’ at the Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City on Friday night, the huge inflatable props were dropped from the ceiling.
But as the fan filmed the moment in question, they failed to notice that Perry had vollied one of the eyeballs – and it was heading straight in their direction.
In the hilarious clip, Perry is seen giving the ball an impressive boot before it’s eventually seen colliding with the fan’s camera.
“Some people were throwing them around, but one landed right by Katy and she kicked it! I didn’t realize that she was kicking it right at my face until it was too late”, the fan explained.
Thankfully, the fan soon enough saw the funny side of the whole thing.
“‘The ball hit me right square in the face and knocked my phone out of my hands”, they added.
“I was so shocked and started laughing hysterically.”
Earlier this month, it was also reported that Katy Perry has been banned from China following a controversial 2015 concert.
The news comes after Perry’s visa was denied, preventing her from attending next a Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Shanghai earlier this month, where she was rumored to be performing.
The performance in question saw Perry wearing the Taiwanese flag during her concert at Taipei Arena, angering Chinese authorities. She also sparked further outrage after wearing a sunflower gown – a symbol of the Sunflower Student Movement, which protested a Chinese trade agreement in 2014.
