"This is his gaff"
Gallagher is currently in the midst of a Stateside tour in promotion of his acclaimed 2017 album ‘As You Were‘. When the tour rolled into Minneapolis’ First Avenue venue, he took the opportunity to honour His Royal Badness, and played Oasis’ ‘Live Forever’ in memory of the Purple One.
“I reckon you want Live Forever, yeah?” Gallagher told the crowd. “This one’s for Prince, this is his gaff and that so might as well dedicate to him, yeah.”
This came after Gallagher gave a nod to Prince in a series of Tweets, in which he also revealed that his favorite track by the late icon was ‘Purple Rain’.
This comes after Noel also dedicated the track to his Royal Badness during a Glasgow gig in 2016:
Oasis made headlines earlier this week when Noel Gallagher slammed brother Liam as ‘the village idiot’ and claimed that he is ‘not well‘, after their feud surrounding the ‘We Are Manchester’ benefit concert.
Asked about Liam’s alleged ‘We Are Manchester’ “PR stunt” comments, Noel replied: “I will say this — and this is all I will say about it. I don’t think that he [Liam] is well. I think it says more about him than it does about anything else. I honestly don’t think he is well.”
