Divorce is returning this winter!

A new trailer for the Sarah Jessica Parker dark comedy reveals that season 2 is set to premiere in January. According to the logline released by HBO, the new season “finds Frances (Parker) and her ex-husband Robert (Thomas Haden Church) dealing with the aftermath of their explosive separation and learning to rebuild their lives.” Based on the teaser, part of rebuilding their lives involves Robert finally shaving his mustache, much to Frances’ surprise… and low-key enjoyment.

“Your face looks less…” says Frances in the trailer, unable to find the right adjective.

“Is that a compliment? That sounds like a semi-compliment,” says Robert. Frances stammers, “It is.”

Although Divorce is alive and well, the same can’t be said of the Sex and the City franchise. Just days ago, Parker confirmed that there will not be a third Sex and the City movie. “It’s over,” she told Extra. “We’re not doing it.”

Created by Sharon Horgan (Catastrophe), Divorce also stars Molly Shannon, Talia Balsam, Tracy Letts, Sterling Jerins, and Charlie Kilgore. Season 2 is executive-produced by Horgan, Parker, showrunner Jenny Bicks, Alison Benson, and Aaron Kaplan.
