When singer-songwriter Mike Llerena first entered the local music scene in Gainesville, Florida, he brought with him an eclectic knowledge and fascination of iconic artists and genres that would intimidate even the most talented and cultured performers. His understanding of various types of composition from legends such as Bruce Springsteen and Green Day helped Llerena discover a unique fusion of musical arrangements. As his guitar technique and songwriting abilities quickly improved, so did the impression that he left upon his audiences. 

Several years and two outstanding EPs later, Llerena is preparing for the February 17 release of his third album, Absence & The Heart. Believing it best to surround himself with a likeminded and trusted support system, he chose three friends to assist with the instrumental and production aspects of the album and his father to create the design.  

Llerena's latest track from the album, “Rosanna,” is a blend of pop rock and classic Americana influences that give the song a breezy feel while the raw vocals strike a chord with their sincerity and relatable honesty. It’s the perfect track for those who are either newly discovering Llerena's work or for his devoted fans who have followed his progression throughout the years.
