Disney’s pulling all of the stops for the upcoming Star Wars film.

A substantial portion of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will be reshot after Disney executives voiced dissatisfaction with the first take of the highly anticipated film.

Execs complained that it was “tonally off with what a ‘classic’ Star Wars movie should feel like” according to a Hollywood Reporter story

“The goal of the reshoots will be to lighten the mood, bring some levity into the story and restore a sense of fun to the adventure,” explained the publication.

A reputable Star Wars production site further notes that the crew expects that “they are reshooting 40% of the film” over eight weeks beginning in mid-June.

Rogue One, a stand-alone Star Wars spin-off set before A New Hope, will focus on a group of Rebel spies trying to steal the plans for the Death Star. It will be released on December 16.
