The singer-songwriter's sophomore album comes out May 13, but you can listen here!

Like all good music, Nashville rocker Jack Berry's new album Mean Machine began with booze. "I think I was a bottle deep in some existential argument with myself," Berry says of the inspiration behind the record. The way he tells it is that "the scenario came to me as a fist fight between my heart and my head." The title is a reflection of his theory that "we're just this mean machine at the mercy of our own guts and gumption."

Other than guts and gumption, Mean Machine is brought to life with vital ingredients like swagger, melody and, of course, a healthy dose of guitars. Berry croons and howls over the heavy tracks, kicking out one charged rock song after another on his sophomore offering, a follow up to his debut Heathen Heart. Mean Machine starts out with a bang, opening with "King of Diamonds," and never lets up. The album operates like a live wire, delivering energy all the way until closing track "Heavy Hopes."

Today, we're excited to premiere the full stream of the new record before its May 13 release. Stream Mean Machine in its entirety below.
