Tom Hardy will forever remember The Revenant. Not exactly for the reasons you'd expect, though.

While shooting the 2015 epic, Leonardo DiCaprio thought that Hardy would receive an Oscar nomination for his performance. Hardy was so convinced otherwise that he bet DiCaprio a "tattoo of the winner's choosing" that he wouldn't get a nomination. 

Nonetheless, DiCaprio's prediction was correct and now Hardy has to pay grandly. At the time, DiCaprio said that his tattoo of choice for Hardy was 'Leo knows everything' written in "shitty" handwriting. 

"I haven't got [the tattoo] yet," he said to Esquire. "Because it sucks."

Next up on the silver screen for Hardy is Christopher Nolan's WWII drama Dunkirk. Hopefully he won't make a similar bet this time around.
