But Rihanna, Drake and Kanye West aren't too far behind.
The nominees for the 59th Grammy Awards have were announced earlier this morning (December 6), and Beyonce walks away as the frontrunner with nine nods including Album, Song and Record of the Year. However, Kanye West, Rihanna and Drake didn't do badly either and picked up eight. Bey's little sis, Solange, also received her first nomination in the Best R&B Performance for "Cranes in the Sky," off her latest album, A Seat at the Table.
Per usual, Best New Artist is a group of heavyhitters including Kelsea Ballerini, The Chainsmokers, Chance The Rapper, Maren Morris and Anderson .Paak. Last year's winner, Meghan Trainor, in that category announced the 2017 nominees.
And the Netflix breakout show, Stranger Things, also got nods in the Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media for its two score tracks.
