“I was just so moved by the story and what this mother did for her children."

Eddie Vedder made one Maryland family's dreams come true when he gave them $10,000. After seeing Tyshika Britten's plea on Craigslist, which was reported by The Washington Post and also went viral, he was so inspired by Tyshika's message that he wanted to make sure her kids would have a wonderful holiday.

"I was just so moved by the story and what this mother did for her children," the Pearl Jam frontman told The Washington Post. "I thought those kids must be so proud of their mother for reaching out. That takes a lot of courage."

He also talked about how her situation reminded him about his own childhood. "There were years there were toys from Santa," he said, "but they were used and they came from garage sales and they didn’t always work."And it's nice to know that he's paid it forward.
