"2016 is not over yet," says frontman Trent Reznor.

Pencil in some new music from Nine Inch Nails into your calendar this fall. In response to a question on Instagram asking if Nine Inch Nails will still release new music this year, Reznor was mum but hopeful. "2016 is not over yet," said the frontman of the longtime industrial rockers.

He had previously hinted at new music in a short tweet last year.

Nine Inch Nails last released an album in 2013 with the Grammy-nominated Hesitation Marks. Listen to "Came Back Haunted" from that record below.

Jaimie Rain If so this means Trent has been far more productive than he was when NIN were an active band pre 2009, 3 NIN albums in 8 years, when they used to be 5 years apart. Anyway it's been a good year for comebacks! Lady Gaga, Marilyn Manson on the way, Nine Inch Nails etc..
