In case you needed a reminder, the King of Auto-Tune can actually sing.

T-Pain sang "The Star-Spangled Banner" Monday night to open a Los Angeles Dodgers game. This is news because it was a rare occasion where he didn't use Auto-Tune. Like his NPR Tiny Desk Concert from last year, with 7.8 million YouTube views, the Tallahassee rapper impressed with his naturally soulful vocals, to where even the national anthem's highest notes ("For the land of the free") sounded totally effortless. Remember, T-Pain doesn't use Auto-Tune because he needs it.

T-Pain's fifth album Stoicville: The Phoenix is out in November. Until then, watch him nail "The Star-Spangled Banner" below.
