Angélico, known more formally as Angélico Vieira, is a Portuguese contemporary R&B singer who made his solo album debut in 2008 after rising to stardom as an actor on the popular teen-oriented television series Morangos com Açúcar and also as a member of the chart-topping boy band D'ZRT.
Born Sandro Milton Vieira Angélico on December 31, 1982, in Lisbon, he made his acting debut on Morangos com Açúcar in 2004 during the telenovela's second season. He was cast as the character David, a member of the boy band D'ZRT along with the other characters Zé Milho (Vítor Fonseca), Topê (Paulo Vintém), and Ruca (Edmundo Vieira). Not only was D'ZRT a staple of Morangos com Açúcar, but in reality the boy band was spun off for a series of chart-topping album releases, D'ZRT (2005), Ao Vivo no Coliseus (2005), and Original (2006), plus concert performances and a couple DVDs. In the aftermath of this success, Vieira made his solo album debut in 2008 with the eponymous album Angélico on the Farol Música label. The album reached number three on the Portuguese albums chart and includes the promotional singles "Gostasses de Mim" and "Bailarina." ~ Jason Birchmeier
