A singer/songwriter with a bent toward contemporary soul and pop, Andy Grammer is the son of children's music artist Red Grammer.
A native of Los Angeles, Grammer grew up in New York state but returned to California to earn his B.A. in music industry studies from California State University, Northridge. While attending school, Grammer began performing around Los Angeles and even spent time as a street performer to help publicize himself. Higher-profile gigs followed and Grammer eventually signed with S-Curve Records. He released his self-titled debut album in 2011. That summer, he supported both Natasha Bedingfield and Colbie Caillat on tour. Two years later, he released the EP Crazy Beautiful. In 2015, Grammer returned with his full-length sophomore album, Magazines or Novels, featuring the singles "Back Home" and "Honey, I'm Good," the latter of which reached number nine on the Billboard chart. After a 2015 stint as a contestant on Dancing with the Stars, Grammer released another single, "Good to Be Alive (Hallelujah)," which became his second consecutive hit to be certified gold. Released in the summer of 2016, "Fresh Eyes" was the first track to be released from his forthcoming third LP. ~ Matt Collar
